Siemens has appointed Daryl Dulaney as CEO of the company’s infrastructure and cities sector in North America.

“The new sector is well positioned, with 87,000 employees worldwide and the most comprehensive portfolio in the market, to minimize those challenges by delivering solutions to city halls, utilities and transportation authorities to make them more competitive and sustainable for the future,” Dulaney said.

Dulaney, a 30-year veteran of Siemens, was named president and CEO of Siemens Industry in Oct. 2009. Prior to that, he was the U.S. CEO of Siemens Building Technologies.

Dulaney joined Siemens Building Technologies as a sales engineer in 1979. He has held various managerial positions throughout his career, ranging from joint venture management in Hong Kong to senior vice president of field operations, North America.

Dulaney earned a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Ohio State University and an M.B.A. from the J. L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
