VMware, virtualization and cloud infrastructure provider, has appointed Sam Tayan regional director for the Middle East and North Africa region.
Tayan will work out of Dubai to deliver VMware’s sales strategy and customer service operations.
Tayan will work closely with customers driving VMware’s cloud and virtualization solutions, enabling organizations to lower cost and enhance security.
“The importance of virtualization technologies is now accepted in this region,” said Jean-Pierre Brulard, vice president for the South region of EMEA, VMware. “There’s tremendous interest from VMware customers for reliable, high-performance, secure clouds that are compatible with their existing applications and datacenter operations.”
Additionally, VMware is about to kick off VMworld 2011 in Copenhagen, Denmark which targets IT professionals in the Middle East and Europe seeking to successfully and quickly deploy enterprise cloud and infrastructure solutions.
