As part of a strategy to provide effective as-a-service models, Computer Sciences Corp. has built on its 10 year partnership with Cisco by achieving compliance certifications and becoming a cloud partner with Cisco on a global scale.
“These audits and certifications provide independent validation of not only CSC's strategy, but of our legacy of superior service delivery,“ said Nick Wilkinson, president of market and product strategy for CSC’s managed services sector.
The company reported that it has achieved data center unified computing authorized technology provider status, master managed services certification and cloud provider certification from Cisco.
To attain Cisco master managed services certification, CSC offered services using Cisco solutions, invested in the ITIL processes and offered the tools necessary to provide high-quality managed services. Wilkinson sees the achievements as representations of “CSC's standards-based approach to the market and ability to quickly implement new solutions.“
In addition, CSC is an official cloud provider in Cisco’s cloud partner program. Clouds from CSC will now be deployed using Cisco-validated infrastructure. The company’s BizCloud, a private as-a-service cloud billed, already uses the same infrastructure that is integrated into the VCE Vblock, enabling cloud model portability.
