Virtual, air combat and security training will be just a few of the exhibits Cubic Corp. will be highlighting at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference this week in Orlando, Fla.
At the conference, which runs from Nov. 28 to Dec 1, Cubic will be performing live demonstrations of its 360-degree virtual training experience within a portable dome, which is a simulation designed to replicate various terrains to assist military squads in training missions. The training dome features realistic simulation of real-world threats, tactics and techniques through mission rehearsal and course of action analysis.
In addition to its other application and training programs, Cubic will also be providing live demonstrations of its “Dismounted Combat ID with Target Location and Navigation,” a combat identification system which can instantly identify friendly forces.
Originating in 1966, I/ITSEC is the world’s largest modeling, simulation and training conference. It is designed to promote cooperation among the Armed Services, academia, and various government agencies with hopes of improving training and education programs, and implementing problem identification/solving skills. This year, more than 500 companies from around the globe will be in attendance.
