Verizon was named one of 21 prime contractors Oct. 26 (GovCon Wire has the full list of contractors here) under the General Services Administration’s CONNECTIONS II contract, which has a ceiling of $5 billion over a period of nine years and three months.
“There is an expanding role for IT and professional services in government, and through CONNECTIONS II we will provide a one-stop shop for federal agencies to buy the communications solutions the agencies need to meet their evolving requirements,” said Susan Zeleniak, president of Verizon’s federal group.
Verizon will compete to provide individual federal agencies offerings that include:
- communications equipment and networking
- professional, consulting and support services
- customer services and technical support
Verizon was a prime contractor under the predecessor contract, CONNECTIONS.
