Boeing Co. has won a $19,776,811 contract modification to provide electronic classrooms and a weapons tactics trainer in support of the low-rate initial production of P-8A Poseidon multi-mission maritime aircraft, the Pentagon announced Monday.
The P-8A Poseidon is a long-range anti-submarine and anti-surface aircraft equipped with intelligence, reconnaissance and surveillance sensors.
The company will provide nine 10-seat electronic classrooms and six 20-seat electronic classrooms on the firm-fixed-price contract modification.
Seventy-five percent of the Work will be performed in St. Louis with the rest being completed in Seattle. The Pentagon expects contract work to wrap up in March 2014.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
