Booz Allen Wins DOT Award for Research on Intelligent Vehicles, Infrastructure Program

Booz Allen Hamilton was recently awarded around $8 million in task orders to support U.S. Transportation Department research and analysis, the company has announced.

The company won eight task orders across multiple indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts for the work.

Booz Allen said the work will support DOT’s intelligence transportation systems through a program that aims to create and integrate intelligent vehicles and infrastructure.

Booz Allen will support one program that aims to generate real-time transportation data to support and facilitate “green” transportation choices by commuters and operators.

Booz Allen will also provide technical services for research of the development and deployment of  a fully-connected transportation system that uses applications to provide citizens with the ability to easily transfer between modes of travel.

Data communications will be critical to that program and data communications services are included in the orders.
