CACI International Inc.‘s Chairman of the Board, Dr. J.P. London, was recently inducted into the Naval Postgraduate School Hall of Fame. London was recognized by the NPS President Daniel Oliver in a ceremony held at the Monterey, Calif. campus.
He received a medal of recognition and will have a commemorative plaque displayed in the Hall of Fame. Those honored in the Hall of Fame are considered NPS’ most distinguished alumni, according to a CACI release, for attaining positions of high public service and making contributions to society, nation and the university.
The company indicated that London has played a large role in CACI’s growth as creator of the company’s acquisition program. Paul Cofoni, CACI president and CEO, voiced the company’s congratulations to London.
“Throughout his long and distinguished tenure with our company, he has continually championed the leadership and management qualities he gained in his long military service, accentuated by his singular sense of ethical behavior and fierce devotion to our nation,” said Cofoni.
London also belongs to the Washington Business Hall of Fame and the Arlington, Virginia Chamber of Commerce Business Hall of Fame, for major positive impact on the business and civic life of these communities, according to the release.
London graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1959 and the NPS in 1967. He earned his bachelor’s in naval engineering, a master’s in operations research and also earned his doctorate of business administration with distinction from the George Washington University.
