Lockheed Martin Debuts UK Cybersecurity Center - top government contractors - best government contracting eventWith one cybersecurity center already in operation in the U.S., Lockheed Martin‘s U.K. operations has opened its first cybersecurity center overseas.

The 2.5 million pound, $$3.9 billion, Security Intelligence Centre at Farnborough was opened today Gerald Howarth MP, Minister for International Security Strategy, according to the company. The center will be run by a team of cyber analysts who also have U.K. passports. 

“Cyber attacks are coming from a wide range of sources. There’s a growing realization at the Government level of the impact this growing threat could have on individuals, business and the national infrastructure,” said Giri Sivanesan, Lockheed Martin U.K. head of cyber.

The center will integrate Lockheed’s global computer network defense and practice identification, detection and response processes through pervasive sensors, data management and analyst collaboration. 

“In the future we will be looking to support more customers in the public and private sector through advanced cyber defense solutions and training customer staff in the latest cyber tradecraft,” said Sivanesan.
