Lockheed Martin‘s information systems and global services division recently won a $53 million contract with the Air Force.

The contract calls for Lockheed to provide maintenance and support at the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment installation at Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado Springs, Colo.

The network system collects, processes and produces information that is used to support missile, air and space attack warning missions and is a part of the North American Aerospace Defense Command, according to a CBS report.

According to the Defense mailer, a contract option was established in December 2009 for operations support and maintenance for the last nine months in fiscal year 2012.

As part of a nine month sustainment option, Lockheed will perform support and maintenance from Jan. 1 through Sept. 29, 2012.

Work is expected to be completed Sep. 29, 2012 and ESC/HSIK, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., is the contracting activity.
