Lockheed Sending Radar Support to Egypt

The U.S. Navy has awarded Lockheed Martin a $6,874,340 contract modification to continue engineering and technical support of AN/TPS-59 and M34 radar sets in Egypt according to a Pentagon announcement.

Lockheed will send two people to Egypt for one base year and the contract has four one-year options. The company's work will include:

  • Operation and maintenance
  • Repair and modification
  • Technical assistance in troubleshooting and repair

Work is expected to be completed in November 2012. The Marine Corps System Command in Quantico, Va. is the contracting activity.
