Raytheon Company has grabbed another cybersecurity company with the acquisition of Pikewerks Corporation.
This purchase is the Raytheon’s ninth cyber-related acquisition since 2007, according to a company announcement.
Raytheon indicated that this purchase, of which terms were undisclosed, will extend the company’s defense capabilities for customers in the intelligence community, the Defense Department, among others.
Pikewerks, which boasts offerings such as Electronic Armor and Second Look, has solutions with investigative capabilities particularly in the areas of insider threat protection, software protection and forensics.
“Developers at Pikewerks are experts who have taken technology from concept to deployment, and we are excited to welcome them as members of our innovative Raytheon team,” said Lynn Dugle, president of Raytheon’s intelligence and information systems business.
