Serco Named Prime on $34M SPAWAR IDIQ for C4I Engineering - top government contractors - best government contracting eventSerco Inc. has been awarded a prime position on a potential $34 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with the U.S. Navy Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command.

The company will compete with eight other firms to provide engineering, testing and support services through the complete lifecycle of command, control, communications, computers and intelligence (C4I) programs.

Serco said the contract aims to streamline the engineering process and shorten the time between software development and installation.

The re-compete contract has one base year and four one-year options. Serco said it has supported SPAWAR and its predecessor’s engineering programs since 1989.

SPAWAR will award contract orders for:

  • test and evaluation
  • independent verification and validation
  • engineering
Awardees will also provide software quality assurance support and configuration management support.
