Boeing to Support Navy P-8 Aircraft Initial Production

Boeing Co. has won a $9,179,536 contract modification to support the U.S. Navy‘s P-8A multi-mission maritime aircraft, the Pentagon announced Thursday.

Under the modification, Boeing will continue to support the low rate initial production of lot two of the aircraft. The company will also provide spare parts and courseware.

The initial contract issued on April 13, 2009 was worth $109,098,924. The modification brings the total value to $118,278,460.

The Pentagon expects work to be completed by September 2012.
