Raytheon, Thales Delivering Next-Generation Desktop to Australian Military

Raytheon subsidiary Trusted Computer Solutions and Thales Australia are partnering to deliver a next-generation desktop to Australia’s military, Raytheon announced Thursday.

Raytheon said the desktop is intended to generate savings by supplying simpler and less expensive desktop environments. Raytheon also said users will be able to access the military’s restricted and secret networks simultaneously and separately.

“Australia’s NGD initiative shows the accelerated adoption of trusted cross domain technologies, within the ‘Five Eyes communities,'” said Ed Hammersla, chief operating officer at Trusted Computer Solutions. “The ability to reliably access information on multiple sensitive networks across the enterprise is critical to national security in the U.S. and with our allies.”
