CGI Exec Helps Launch TechAmerica Cloud Event, Guide

CGI Group offered up recommendations and best practices for cloud computing at a TechAmerica Foundation event Thursday in Silicon Valley.

CGI said that Aldona Valicenti, CGI vice president and SLG-CC commissioner, participated in a panel discussion at the event.

TechAmerica also issued a guide to cloud computing at the event.

CGI provides cloud services to the Department of Homeland Security, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the General Services Administration.

Valicenti said the commission developed the report to give government a reference of working examples of cloud and information regarding the issues and implementation requirements for cloud in government.

Valicenti said cloud computing offers governments the opportunity to address many pressing technical and budgetary challenges without capital investment.
