A Kratos Defense and Security Solutions Inc. subsidiary has won a $5.7 million follow-on award to produce parts for a U.S. electronic attack platform.
The company said Thursday the award is part of a long term contractual agreement through which the company supports an electronic attack and electronic warfare program.
Herley Industries will produce specialty electronics components under the award at its Whippany, N.J. facility.
Herley President Richard Poirier said the subsidiary completes additional production orders for integrated microwave assemblies, applied to airborne electronic warfare systems.
The subsidiary was awarded $17.2 million to produce electronics for similar projects in January.
Poirier said Herley has received similar production orders at three company locations and he expects Herley will continue to support mission critical aircraft and customers, such as the U.S. Navy, with similar services.
