Northrop Names General Dynamics Vet Danny Milligan to Lead UK Growth in C4ISR

Northrop Grumman Corp. named Danny Milligan chief executive of Northrop’s information systems business for Europe company’s U.K.-based information systems business for European oped.

Northrop announced Wednesday Milligan will be based in the U.K and will succeed Sir Nigel Essenhigh, who left Northrop in 2011.

Milligan will direct the company’s strategy for generating new business in the command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) sector.

Milligan will also direct growth strategy for the defense and civil information technology, cybersecurity and counter-improvised explosives markets.

Linda Mills, president of Northrop Grumman’s information systems sector, said the U.K is also key market for unmanned ground systems and air traffic management.

Milligan most recently served as vice president for General Dynamics‘ U.K-based mission and security systems business.
