The Falls Church, Va.-based contractor said it will integrate Persistent Surveillance Systems LLC sensors into special mission aircraft.
Work will include wide area surveillance sensor capabilities on commercial aircraft.
Gamache said federal, state, civil and international agencies will use the sensors.
The company will integrate PSS’s sensors with its aircraft at its Baltimore-based Aberdeen Integration Center.
Following the integration, the companies will then demonstrate the wide area surveillance aircraft technology and forensic software at several venues in 2012.
Northrop signed a similar agreement with Quest Aircraft Company to become the U.S. federal dealer and preferred special mission integrator for Quest’s Kodiak airplane.
