
Craig Reed is senior vice president of strategy and corporate development for Engility Corp., the pure-play services provider spun off from L-3 Communications in July.
He joined L-3 in April 2012 to help transition its services group into what now operates as Engility.

Before joining L-3, he was the founder and managing member of Growth Strategy Leaders, a business strategy consultancy he established in 2011.
Prior to founding that company, he served as senior vice president of strategy and corporate development at DynCorp International, where he managed the company’s strategic planning, market intelligence, government relations, customer accounts, marketing and mergers and acquisitions.
Between 2005 and 2008, he held leadership positions in strategy and business development at Northrop Grumman.
Before Northrop, Reed served as a managing director at CSP Associates Inc., where he worked with private equity, aerospace and defense firms.
He joined Lockheed Martin in 1983 and spent 17 years with Lockheed its predecessor companies, holding several management positions with increasing responsibility in strategy, business development and government affairs.
Reed also spent time in the public sector as a senior political appointee for the Energy Department, where he advised the secretary and ran the Secretary’s Energy Advisory Board.
Reed earned his Ph.D in public policy from George Washington University, his masters of international affairs from Colombia University and bachelor’s degree in political science and psychology from SUNY Albany.
