ManTech CEO George Pedersen to Ring NASDAQ Closing Bell

ManTech International Chairman and CEO George Pedersen will ring the closing bell Tuesday at the NASDAQ MarketSite in New York, the company announced Monday.

The Fairfax, Va.-based information technology and technical services firm is celebrating its 10th anniversary of trading on the NASDAQ market.

Pedersen said the company’s stockholders help to secure the nation and share profits through dividends.

The company listed on NASDAQ Feb. 6, 2002 and has since grown its revenues by 700 percent, from $430 billion in 2001 to $3 billion, according to a company release.

Shareholder equity has grown from $23 million to $1.1 billion and the company says it has made 20 strategic acquisitions.

The company’s most recent acquisitions include federal healthcare IT integrator Evolvent Technologies and software security firm HBGary.

HBGary provides malware detection tools to commercial customers in the financial, energy and technology sectors.
