Siemens has selected Matthias Rebellius as president of the building technologies division within the infrastructure and cities sector, the company announced Monday.
Effective June 1, he will succeed Andreas Schierenbeck, who is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities, according to the company.
The division provides systems and solutions for building automation, fire safety, security and energy efficiency systems.
The 24-year company veteran will bring knowledge in business management, engineering, products and technology, said sector CEO Daryl Dulaney.
Rebellius has served as global CEO for the company’s fire safety and security business unit and led marketing and product management for the company’s simatic human machine interface product line.
The company also recently named Rose Marie Glazer as general counsel for the Americas region.
