Parsons Hosting Sparta Golf Classic For Wounded Warrior Project - top government contractors - best government contracting eventParsons Corp. is hosting a golf tournament to raise funds for the Wounded Warrior Project, the company announced Thursday.

The fifth annual Sparta Charity Golf Classic is taking place Friday at the Augustine Golf Club in Stafford, Va.

Parsons took control of the event after acquiring Sparta in 2011 from Cobham plc. for $350 million.

The company expects to raise nearly $15,000 that goes toward a variety of education, training, family support and peer mentoring WWP programs and services.

Qualifying injured service members can receive those services free of charge, the company said.
