Salient Federal Solutions is joining Internet service providers, networking equipment manufacturers and web companies in enabling Internet Protocol version 6 for their products and services starting June 6.
The Fairfax, Va.-based firm announced Tuesday its support of the world IPv6 launch and has conducted multiple events and educational seminars to educate agencies and companies about the switch.
Defense and intelligence agencies have worked with the company to prepare for the IPv6 transition to IPv6.
CEO Brad Antle said cybersecurity is one of the company’s primary areas of focus and the company has developed a cyber suite for the new IP version to detect and block attacks.
The company played a role in a world IPv6 day event last year in attempts to draw attention to the need for transitioning government networks to IPv6, the company said.
Salients has achieved the gold certification for its training course on building IPv6 networks.
