ManTech International subsidiary Evolvent Technologies holds a prime position on a potential $20 billion information technology services contract with the National Institutes of Health.

ManTech said Evolvent will provide professional IT, health, health science and biomedical support services under the 10-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.

Terry Ryan, president and chief operating officer of ManTech’s emerging markets group, said the subsidiary will provide engineers, analysts and subject matter experts to the NIH’s Health IT Acquisition and Assessment Center.

The company acquired Evolvent to pursue opportunities in the federal health IT market, said President and CEO George Pedersen.

Work under the Chief Information Officer-Solutions and Partners 3 contract, or CIOSP-3, will also include administrative, operational, information management and managerial tasks.
