Boeing Wins 1st Intl. Cyber Contract, Eyes Asia Expansion; Bryan Palma Comments - top government contractors - best government contracting eventBoeing has signed its first-ever international cybersecurity contract with a Tokyo-based global trading firm, where it will assess networks.

The company said Monday that this agreement is part of plans to expand its cybersecurity business in Asia.

Boeing will provide network security services to Sojitz Corp. said Bryan Palma, vice president of the secure infrastructure group in the company’s information solutions business.

Sojitz is investing in its network infrastructure and situational awareness capabilities, said Ken Kuribayashi, general manager of the company’s aerospace department.

Boeing is helping to provide Inmarsat’s satellite bandwidth to potential federal customers, with Inmarsat-5 global bandwidth set to go live starting in late 2013.
