SAIC Inc. will conduct research and development work on radars and sensors for the Air Force, the Defense Department announced Tuesday.
Basic, applied and advanced research will focus on laser radars, laser sources, optical apertures, electro-optical sensor test ranges, field testing of electro-optical and infrared laser radar systems, modeling and simulation laboratories.
Work under the $32.8 million contract will occur at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio and the Pentagon expects the work to finish by June 18, 2022.
The company is working with Rockwell Collins to install mobile ad hoc, Internet Protocol networks on U.S. Navy ships.
