SAIC Inc. has received a nine-month extension on a contract with the Air Force for GPS systems engineering and integration work, the Defense Department announced Thursday.
The company received the $31.7 million award from an Air Force GPS directorate, based at the Space and Missile Systems Center in El Segundo, Calif.’
Work under the firm-fixed-price modification will occur McLean, Va. and the Pentagon expects the work to finish by March 7, 2013.
The company previously won a 60-day extension to continue work on the systems, which support both civilian and military operations.
That extension covered work until May 7.
