The U.S. Special Operations Command is seeking new technologies for its forces and missions, according to a solicitation on FedBizOpps.
USSOCOM plans to award contracts to vendors in order to conduct studies, design, prototype and assess mature technologies for mission application.
Work should include development of energy storage device capabilities and combatant craft with advanced power systems, the command said.
Vendors should also submit solutions relating to command, control, communications and computer systems; communication; real-time data sharing; scalable effects weapons; mobility platforms; and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
The solicitation also includes biometrics-related technologies to conduct identification tests as well as technologies that can reduce the overall weight of materials service members have to carry.
USSOCOM said total development cost is capped at $2 million and plans to award multiple firm-fixed-price contracts.
The solicitation is open through July 13.
