Michele Flournoy, formerly the Defense Department’s third-highest ranked official, has joined the Boston Consulting Group as a senior adviser within the public sector practice.
The company said she will help drive change in the government arena to BCG teams and governments they work with around the world.

Before her appointment as under secretary, she co-led President Obama’s transition team at the Pentagon and co-founded the Center for a New American Security in 2007.
She also was a senior adviser at the Center for Strategic and International Studies and was a research professor at the National Defense University.
