Computer Sciences Corp. has introduced an on-premise private cloud for federal agencies that can start handling application workloads within 10 weeks, the company announced Thursday.
BizCloud for Government gives users a private cloud behind their firewall or on their premises of choice, the company said.
Leif Ulstrup, president of CSC“™s federal consulting practice, said the company has worked with agencies for more than 50 years and brings cloud experience from the commercial world.
Ski Giunta, vice president of global cloud computing and hosting services, said the company has helped implement a commercial version of BizCloud for nearly a year.
The company said it designed BizCloud for Government to help agencies comply with the Federal Information Security Management Act, addressing lead times for implementation and using an operational spending model.
CSC previously released a cloud system for government agencies by using geographically distanced data centers.
