Mazurek will provide the company experience and knowledge on California’s climate policies, said Patty Cook, a senior vice president
Before joining ICF, Mazurek served as director of strategy and operations at Duke University's Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions.
While at Duke, she helped the California Air Resources Board update the state’s cap-and-trade scoping plan and conducted research on the state’s offsets policy.
Then-Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger appointed her senior policy adviser to the board’s chairman in 2010 and she helped the state create its cap-and-trade regulation.
S. Lawrence Kocot recently joined ICF’s board of directors to bring knowledge of the healthcare arena and experience from corporate board rooms, professional organizations and the federal government.
Kocot is a senior counsel at SNR Denton US LLP and has served as a senior adviser to the administrator for Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
