Mark Gray is vice president for URS Corp.'s national security and defense business unit, where he leads more than 1,900 employees in providing integrated technical services and solutions to the Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and homeland security customers.
He is also responsible for growth and operations of those programs.
Prior to joining URS, he served as chief operating officer at Indus Corp. where he was responsible for directing all corporate and strategic planning, business development and merger and acquisition activities. In 2008, ExecutiveBiz named him one of its “10 COOs You Need to Know.“
Before Indus, he served as a senior vice president at Anteon Corp., where his responsibilities included operations, business development and strategic planning. He focused primarily on Navy, defense and civilian professional services and IT markets. Anteon is now part of General Dynamics' information technology unit.
Prior to Anteon, he served in program management, project management, systems and test engineering positions at the Naval Air Systems Command, focusing on weapon system development projects.
He is a graduate of both the Defense Systems Management College's advanced program management course and the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School. He holds a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Notre Dame, a master's degree in aviation systems from the University of Tennessee and an M.B.A. from Georgetown University. He is also a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Business School Honor Society.
