SAIC To Provide AF Airborne ISR In Afghanistan - top government contractors - best government contracting eventSAIC Inc. has won a contract to provide airborne intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance services to the Army, the Defense Department announced Friday.

According to the Pentagon, the company will provide services in Afghanistan through Sept. 30, 2013 under the $14,338,925 contract.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ office in Vicksburg, Miss. is the contracting activity for the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract.

SAIC is also contracted to conduct research and development work on radars and sensors for the Air Force through June 2022.
