ASM Research Chairman and CEO Jeri Lassiter received a business achievement award from Washington SmartCEO magazine, the company announced Tuesday.
The Washington Brava Awards recognize women who lead companies generating at least $1 million in revenue who encourage local philanthropy, mentor fellow CEOs and set their companies on a growth path.

“Starting in 1979 as a programmer and the third ASM employee, she took over as CEO/President in 2001,” Chief Operating Officer John Fraser said.
She received the award July 24 at Gallaudet University’s Kellogg Conference Center and is profiled in the magazine’s July 2012 issue.
A committee comprised of nearly a dozen Washington area business leaders chose winners for the sixth annual Brava awards.
The committee received close to 200 nominations this year, according to the company.
