Retired Navy Adm. Michael Bachmann is vice president of C4ISR for URS Corp.’s federal services division.
Before joining the company, the 35-year Navy veteran served as commander of the San Diego-based Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command and oversaw more than 12,000 personnel and an $11 billion budget, according to URS.
In that capacity, he was responsible for the Navy’s acquisition of C4ISR products and services, information operations, business, cyber and space systems. He also integrated C4ISR systems and physical security information management technology into a single common operating picture for real-time processing and analysis, according to URS.
Customers included the White House, Office of the Secretary of Defense, combatant commanders, other service branches and federal agencies.
Prior to heading SPAWAR, Bachmann served in senior flag leadership roles at the Naval Air Systems Command including commander of NAVAIR’s weapons division; assistant commander for test and evaluation; assistant commander for logistics and industrial operations; and vice commander of NAVAIR.
