GTSI Chief Technology Officer Jim Sweeney addresses several questions and topics surrounding cloud computing in the government for his new book, “Get Your Head in the Cloud: Unraveling the Mystery for Public Sector.“

The company said Sweeney aimed to give the customer’s perspective on cloud, conducting several interviews with early adopters in the federal, state and local arena.

Chief Operating Officer Jeremy Wensinger said in a release Sweeney provides “facts and analysis from the perspective of someone who has been working on cloud architectures and implementations in government for years.”

He added the target audience is government professionals considering cloud adoption.

Sweeney said he wanted to explain the different types of cloud and address data security, acquisition and budget implications and answer questions over information ownership.

He added he wanted to provide a resource of public sector case studies to help the government make decisions on cloud adoption.

The book is available on Lulu, Amazon, Barnes & Noble and eBook with proceeds going to the Wounded Warrior Project.
