Salient Federal Solutions Inc. has won an estimated $17.4 million prime contract to provide actuarial expertise and systems support services for the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp., the company said in a statement.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract would cover actuarial expertise, operations and maintenance services as well as actuarial system improvements over a five-year period.
Brad Antle, president and CEO of Salient said his company is well situated to start the contract immediately, which would save costs by using existing systems but would also provide the needed development, management, and enhancement services.
Salient will also support the PBGC through the performance of actuarial studies, development and modernization efforts and special projects associated with the Integrated Present Value of Future Benefits.
Salient said its Federal Mission Software Solutions business unit along with actuarial and employee benefits firm Bolton Partners, will carry out work under the single-award contract.
