Cubic Transportation Systems Inc. has been awarded a $10 million contract for the delivery of the fare collection system to Warm Springs and South Fremont, as well as integrate the system into the Clipper System.

Richard Wunderle, senior vice president and general manager of Cubic Transportation Systems in North America, said that they are happy to be chosen for the project and that the contract continues the company’s relationship of providing fare collection technology to customers and improving the reach of the Clipper system.

According to Cubic, the Warm Springs extension is set to open in 2015 and will add 5.4 miles of new track from the current Fremont station which is south of the Warm Springs district.
