In 2010, Michelle Hertz was appointed managing counsel of CGI Federal, a wholly owned subsidiary of CGI.
As managing counsel, Hertz reports directly to the president of CGI Federal. She is responsible for advising the company on all legal matters concerning its operations and the board of directors on legal issues arising from government relations, corporate governance, and compliance issues.
Hertz is also responsible for the management oversight of CGI Federal’s contracts department and its security and compliance programs.
She has over 20 years of experience in the federal government contracts arena in government, private practice, and private industry. Prior to joining CGI Federal, Ms. Hertz served as senior counsel at DynCorp International; VP of federal contracts and division counsel for Michael Baker Corporation; an associate in the government contracts practice of Holland & Knight LLP; and a contracting officer with Naval Air Systems Command.
Hertz has a JD from George Mason University School of Law and a BA in Economics and French from St. Lawrence University. She is a member of the Public Contracts Law Section of the American Bar Association and the WMACCA Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel.
