The ENVI Services Engine will provide deployed military and intelligence personnel information from satellite imagery and airborne services via mobile devices.
Information on the device is for situational awareness, assessing terrain conditions and identifing potential targets and threats.
“Today’s defense, intelligence and disaster relief personnel rely on readily available geospatial imagery and data to assess important geographic conditions,” said Jaye Lampe, president of Exelis Visual Information Solutions. “But they do not always have access to the desktop software traditionally used to perform the required analytics.”
Lampe added in a release the new ENVI engine is designed to help with decision making.
ENVI image analysis products are used in military and intelligence in tactical and strategic operations, the company said.
The company recently updated its Jagwire software used for managing and distributing images and video to warfighters.
