InTouch RPC-200, is an interoperable, Android-based smartphone that runs third-party applications acquired from the Android Play Store.
Steve Marschilok, president of safety and professional communications, said in a release the InTouch comes in a rugged package and provides voice, video, and situational information to public safety users.
That information travels over both commercial networks and a nationwide public safety broadband network, he said.
The waterproof smartphone also has noise-cancellation features, a LTE chipset, HDMI videos and a 5-megapixel camera.
Over the summer, the company demonstrated a national public safety communications network for first responders.
