Symantec Releasing New Mobile Dashboard App; David Dorosin Comments

Symantec has released a new mobile application to provide security professionals a dashboard for network security monitoring and protection, Fierce Mobile IT reports.

The Symantec Protection Center Mobile dashboard will provide nontechnical users threat intelligence, security incidents and control gaps.

David Dorosin, director of product marketing, told the website the app collects network data from both Symantec and non-Symantec sources.

Users have a data collection and analytics platform through the app’s Protection Center Enterprise platform, Fred Donovan writes.

Dorosin told Donovan the platform places network data into a central data repository, calculates security metrics, assess business impact and provides organization a workflow engine.
