Abt Associates has appointed John Ruyter vice president of human resources, where he will lead the company’s HR strategy and operations.
The company says he brings experience in HR posts with increasing responsibility at healthcare, insurance and legal organizations.
He will work to attract, develop and retain talent, said Clarissa Peterson, Abt’s chief human resources and ethics officer.
Prior to joining the company, he served as senior director of HR at DLA Piper, where he led projects to recruit, develop and retain of employees.
A certified HR senior professional from the HR Certification Institute, Ruyter has served as adjunct faculty at Towson University's HR graduate program.
