Aon Hewitt Names Garry Spinks to Lead Higher Education Practice; Chris Michalak Comments

Aon Hewitt has promoted Garry Spinks to national practice leader for the higher education consulting practice, where he will oversee the company’s consulting efforts for more 300 universities, academic medical centers and colleges.

The company said he will also lead the company’s university pathfinders and university roundtable consortiums, comprised of public and private universities and university systems that develop offerings for benefits, human resources, investment consulting and communication solutions.

Spinks will manage the company’s databases, which provide clients access to more than 400 surveys conducted by nearly 120 universities.

“His higher education background and experience, combined with his excellent consultative skills and accounts leadership, will be invaluable as we look to further strengthen Aon Hewitt’s position in the higher education space by empowering results for our clients,” said Chris Michalak, global chief commercial officer.

Spinks most recently served Aon Hewitt as an account executive for midsize Fortune 500 employers and universities, colleges and college consortiums.

The company said Spinks has more than 15 years of experience in client management and consulting work with senior university administration, board-level and advisory leadership and health policy and project management leadership.
