Booz Allen Hamilton has opened a new office in North Charleston, SC, according to an article by The Moultrie News.

“We are excited about the new facility ““ both the location and the accommodations will benefit us as we continue to serve our clients in the Lowcountry,“ said Rene Castro, Charleston-based Booz Allen vice president.

Booz Allen and its more than 200 staff in the greater Charleston area primarily support the Space and Naval Warfare System Center Atlantic organization.

The larger office provides additional space for Booz Allen's expanding local business, including around 80 new staff from its recent acquisition of ARINC Inc.'s defense systems engineering and support.

“With the acquisition of DSES, we're advancing our strategy to build on Booz Allen's existing engineering capabilities, and to bring to our clients broader and deeper expertise in technical areas such as C4ISR where we see growth potential,“ said Booz Allen chairman, chief executive officer and president Ralph W. Shrader.

The CEO added that DSES's existing contracts for the U.S. Navy and Air Force strengthen Booz Allen's presence in the defense market.

About 1,000 employees worldwide will join Booz Allen as a result of the acquisition.

The new office will be located in the Remount Business Park.
