CGI Federal has won a $21 million contract from the Railroad Retirement Board to host the agency’s financial management system in a cloud computing environment, the company said Thursday.
The potential 11-year contract contract includes one implementation year, one base year and nine option years.
“CGI has partnered with the RRB on its financial management objectives for nearly 20 years, so moving to the cloud is the next step,“ said Toni Townes-Whitley, senior vice president for CGI's civilian agency programs.
The company will transition the agency’s legacy financial management system to its Momentum Community Cloud and provide end-to-end support, including conversion, training, change management, hosting and maintenance.
The Railroad Retirement Board oversees a social insurance program providing retirement benefits for railroad workers.
