KBR to Licence Ammonia Tech for Plant; John Derbyshire Comments - top government contractors - best government contracting eventKBR has won a license agreement to provide ammonia technology for a unmanned grassroots ammonia plant, the company announced Thursday.

The company will provide its ammonia technology to Indorama Eleme Fertilizer & Chemicals for a 2300 MTPD ammonia plant in Nigeria.

Africa is an emerging market for the fertilizer business, said John Derbyshire, KBR’s technology president.

“Indorama has a long-standing relationship with KBR,” said Manish Mundra, managing director for Indorama Nigeria.

KBR said Indorama chose its purifier technology based on energy consumption and plant run lengths.
