Raytheon Developing Anti-Jam GPS System; Bob Delorge Comments - top government contractors - best government contracting eventRaytheon UK has won an urgent operational requirement contract to develop a new GPS antenna system for protection against jamming.

The company said this first order for the GPS Anti-Jam Land product family calls for an undisclosed number of advanced systems for deployment in operational theaters spanning multiple vehicle platforms.

Both the U.K. and the U.S. use the more than 7,000 deployed units for both air and naval missions, said Bob Delorge, chief executive for Raytheon UK.

According to the company, the U.K. Ministry of Defence seeks deployment of the systems under a short timescale, with final delivery of the systems expected to be completed six months from contract award.
