download (1)Catapult Technology has won a prime contract worth up to $1.7 million to help the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency administer, maintain and manage electronic databases that support a laboratory at Fort Meade.

The information technology and management consultant will provide technical support to staff of the EPA’s office of analytical services and quality assurance, who support the lab at the Maryland fort’s Environmental Science Center.

The contract has one base year and four option years and is a follow-on to an earlier award that ran from 2009 to 2012.

The Bethesda, Md.-based firm teamed with General Dynamics as a subcontractor on the new work and will support staff members responsible for assuring, managing and integrating site and project-level data.

Catapult will develop and design applications, create and upgrade databases and manage web pages, among other work.

“Catapult's core strength is the technical expertise and support we provide to government agencies, and we're pleased to once again be delivering those services to the EPA,” said Mark Hunker, Catapult President and CEO.

Catapult provided the EPA’s office of grants and debarment with project management and technical services on previous award.
